On the Night
This page outlines the flow of the evening so you know what to expect and when to be where.
While the story unfolds over the course of the night, guests are always free to engage at their own pace.
Arrival & Opening
5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Doors open at 5:30 PM.
Guests arrive through the main entrance, where check-in, coat check, and bag check will be available. Event materials will be distributed, and Fae coins may be purchased at registration if desired.
During this opening hour:
the Night Market is open for browsing
the Divination Parlour is available for early readings
purchase a libation if you wish (alcoholic and temperance options will be available)
members of the Court and other figures may be seen welcoming guests
This portion of the evening is unhurried and social, allowing time to settle in and explore.
Dinner & Court Address
6:30 PM – 7:45 PM
Guests will be invited to take their seats for the formal, plated dinner starting at 6:30 PM.
Dinner is served at a fixed time. Guests who are not seated when service begins will not be able to receive their meal later, so we strongly recommend arriving in good time.
Evening Flow: Dance, Gathering, and Celebration
8:00 PM – 12:00 AM
From 8:00 PM onward, the evening opens into a more fluid and social rhythm.
Guests are welcome to move freely between the ballroom, Night Market, Divination Parlour, and outdoor spaces. Music becomes more prominent, and dancing is encouraged but never required. This portion of the night balances movement, conversation, and exploration, allowing guests to engage in whatever way feels most comfortable.
At certain points, the evening may briefly gather guests back in the main hall. These moments are brief and clearly signaled, after which the evening resumes its open flow. Guests are always free to observe quietly or step away as needed.
As the night continues, the atmosphere shifts toward celebration. Music grows livelier, the dance floor fills, and social spaces become more animated. Markets and parlours reopen and continue to be available for relaxed browsing, conversation, and reflection.
The final hour of the evening slows once more. A last dance is shared, and the night draws toward its close with a sense of completion. Guests are guided toward coat and bag check at their own pace.
The event concludes at midnight.
A Final Note
Staff and volunteers will be present throughout the evening to assist with timing, directions, or concerns. If you are ever unsure where to be or what is happening next, please ask.
The Springtide Society’s role is to ensure the night unfolds smoothly: so you may simply be present within.
