How the Evening Flows

8:00 PM – 12:00 AM

  • The evening alternates between open social time and brief shared moments of focus

  • Guests may move freely between the ballroom, Night Market, Divination Parlour, and outdoor spaces

  • Dancing is encouraged but never required

  • Lively and quieter spaces are available throughout the night

At certain points, the evening may briefly gather guests together. These moments are clearly signaled, easy to follow, and always optional to engage with directly.

Markets and parlours remain available for relaxed browsing during much of the evening.

The event concludes at midnight.

Participation & Courtesy

Participation in theatrical moments is always optional, and there is no requirement to roleplay or perform. Some guests may prefer to observe quietly.

Dancing

An invitation to dance is an offer, not a demand; all dance invitations may be declined gracefully and without explanation.

Boundaries & Consent

Respect for personal boundaries is essential at all times. This consent applies to conversation, dancing, photography, and interaction - a simple “no, thank you” is always sufficient.

Photography

  • Thoughtful personal photography is welcome

  • Flash photography, video lights, and disruptive device use are not permitted

  • Photography should not interrupt performers, and will not be permitted during theatrical moments

  • A curated set of professional photos will be added to the website after the event

Support

Staff and volunteers are present throughout the evening to assist with timing, directions, or concerns.

If you are ever unsure where to be or need help at any point, please ask.

A Final Note

You do not need to keep up, solve anything, or worry about missing a key detail.

Whether you spend the night dancing, observing, exploring, or lingering in conversation, you will have a complete and satisfying experience. The Faelight Ball is designed to be welcoming and coherent from many angles.
